What this piece is.
This is an accurate reproduction of the inner flying cap worn in Alien made in 1979.

This Alien costume accessory was recreated using reference photos taken from the original screen-used production props and has been uniquely custom-handmade for you. The soft cap has been replicated from an original rare WW2 Raf Type D flying cap.
The cap features accurate twill weave fabric lined with cotton inner, each snap detail is meticulous to an original soft cap. Vegetable-tanned leather is used on each strap. Webbing is used on the chinstrap, metal has been used for the flight mask connector near the ear. The Ear cups are 3d printed and sewn in with ear cushions on the inside. Lots of this cap has been hand-sewn in certain areas. this is as close to an original as possible. This costume accessory is ready to wear.
When checking out your order you will have the choice of an Alien cap that has been modified with the white cap inserted into the front of the cap to simulate your wearing two caps. 
The other choice will be a replica Raf Type D Cap to use as a reenactment item for ww2 outfits. 
Differences from an original -
The Cap has been reproduced with 100% accuracy, the only differences that are noticeable on the inside of the soft cap are the foam inside the ear is black rather than yellow, and the 'ear caps' are printed and not rubber.
Postage to the UK and internationally I sent tracked and signed for and the tracking number will be sent when dispatched.
